Damaging the Pre-frontal Cortex

  • Disorganized behaviour
  • Cannot inhibit inappropriate behaviour
  • impaired abstract thinking, rigidity of thought
  • getting stuck doing the same action over and over again (perseveration)
  • personality changes
  • emotional lability (unstable emotions)

From a guy names Phineas Gage where an explosion damaged his brain. Leading to his personality changing drastically. He also lacked impulse control.
